The Golfbookings Open Week is more than a tournament. It is a tradition that brings our community together in some of Europe’s finest golf destinations. Each year, we create bespoke golf trips, combining outstanding courses, inspiring surroundings, and the distinctive atmosphere that defines Golfbookings.
In 2026, we return to Portugal’s southern coast. After a memorable edition in 2024, the Algarve once again sets the stage for a week of championship golf, Atlantic scenery, and unmistakable character. Few regions in Europe combine top-quality layouts, accessibility, and consistently playable conditions like this one.
From 9–16 November 2026, with the option to join from 11–16 November, the Golfbookings Open Week will bring passionate golfers together for a high-quality tournament experience in one of Europe’s premier golf regions. The week balances sporting challenge, atmosphere, and comfort, reflecting the very best of a bespoke golf trip.
Five Championship Courses. One Defining Week.
Golf in the Algarve is defined by variety, and this edition reflects that. Within a short distance, five distinctive championship layouts create a competitive journey that evolves each day.
Amendoeira Faldo Course – Strategic and Striking
Designed by Nick Faldo, the Faldo Course at Amendoeira is bold and precise. Natural rock formations, sculpted bunkers, and clear strategic lines require thoughtful play from the first tee onwards. It is a course that rewards patience and careful execution.

Vilamoura Pinhal Course – Classic Parkland Character
Framed by mature umbrella pines and gently rolling fairways, Pinhal reflects the timeless elegance of southern Portugal. Accuracy from the tee is essential, while well-protected greens keep approach shots engaging. It is graceful, competitive, and distinctly memorable.

Vilamoura Laguna Course – Open and Influenced by the Elements
Laguna offers a change of pace. Open and expansive, shaped by wind and water, it introduces a links-inspired dimension rarely found on the mainland. Generous landing areas invite confident play, while strategic hazards ensure focus remains high until the final putt.

Quinta do Lago South Course – Championship Excellence
Quinta do Lago South enjoys an international reputation, hosting major professional events. Its flowing layout provides risk-and-reward opportunities that suit a competitive tournament format perfectly, while maintaining immaculate conditions throughout.

Old Course Vilamoura – The Final Stage
The iconic Old Course sets the scene for the tournament highlight. Surrounded by towering pines and steeped in history, it is one of Portugal’s most respected layouts. Every shot carries weight, making it the ideal setting to crown the Golfbookings Open 2026 champion.

Together, these five courses demonstrate why the Algarve remains one of Europe’s leading regions for championship golf.
Your Home in the Algarve – Hyatt Regency Vilamoura
For 2026, the Hyatt Regency Vilamoura serves as the new home base. Contemporary design meets comfort and style, with a central location that ensures easy access to the region’s top courses. After each round, it offers a calm and welcoming retreat.

The Spirit of the Week
At its core, the Golfbookings Open Week is about enjoying the game in the right environment. Relaxed mornings, excellent courses, and unhurried rounds in good company create the perfect rhythm. Across five exceptional layouts, there is space to appreciate the surroundings and the pleasure of golf as it should be – elegant, focused, and enjoyable.
Returning to the Algarve means returning to this balance: beautiful courses, mild November conditions, and an atmosphere that allows the game to be experienced fully.
